Old Spanish Monastery

The Old Spanish Monastery ( has an iconic history. Originally built in Segovia, Spain, in the 12th century, the church was bought in the 1800s by William Randolph Hearst. It was dismantled stone by stone and shipped to America, where it sat in a New York warehouse for 26 years, only later to be rebuilt in South Florida. The monastery is open to the public and guided tours are available.
